Heart failure is a condition in which the heart can’t pump enough blood to meet the body’s needs. In some cases, the heart can’t fill with enough blood. In other cases, the heart can’t pump blood to the rest of the body with enough force. Some people have both problems.

The term “heart failure” doesn’t mean that your heart has stopped or is about to stop working. However, heart failure is a serious condition that requires medical care.

Do you suffer from heart failure?

This clinical research study is looking at the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for people with heart failure.

Would you like to take part?

As a volunteer in a research study, you’ll receive personal, study-related medical care from the study doctor and regular follow up of your heart failure to monitor the effectiveness of the care you’ll receive. The results of this research will be used to find out if the experimental medication being studied will be of benefit to others with heart failure, and whether it will be made widely available to all Canadians with heart failure. Study volunteers are an important part of moving medical care forward.
