Memory or thinking problems beyond what might be expected at a certain age may be early symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. There are an estimated 564,000 Canadians living with dementia. By 2031, this is expected to rise to 937,000, an increase of 66 per cent.
With more and more people developing Alzheimer’s disease as the Canadian population ages, it is critical to find better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for this disease. It is only through clinical trials that such treatments can be found.
